Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Inverted/Reversed Banner Pattern

I suggest a way to invert the fill of a banner pattern.  Perhaps using a fermented spider eye since that's got precedent.

 

What I mean is that instead of filling the normal pattern with the dye, it fills everything BUT that pattern with the dye.  While many of the designs have their own opposite already, it would allow for things like borders, lozenges, and so on to have the pattern while the remainder is a solid color.

    Good idea! I think adding banner pattern inverts for all patterns could open a ton of possibilities to banner creation.

    For example:

    A pyramid banner using a reverse chevron for the background so brick detail can be added using the mason field pattern

    A round earth using a lime globe pattern on a blue banner with a inverted black roundel to resemble space

    A shining jewel using gradient white, chief dexter canton, and a inverted lozenge
