I wanted to share with all of you my mob idea. Here it goes:
Brine is a mix of salt and fresh water. So i thought it was a fitting name for a shark-like hostile mob. No it's not a shark. It's a Skarpbrine!
If you ever watched the movie "The James and the Giant Peach." There was scene where our heroes get attacked in the middle of the ocean by a scary robot shark that made an alarming mechanical siren sound. That was my inspiration for the drawling I did.
3 to 4 blocks long, rarer ones are even bigger, this carnivorous fish has a gaping mouth riddled with sharp teeth! A large sharp dorsal fin can hurt you and any unsuspecting mob that it swims underneath of. Ready to strike at night, this mob will accidentally attack players with a 3 stage attack. 1.) Swims under as it's dorsal fin hurts you. 2) Swims away. 3) Return under you and leaps into the air as it delivers a swift bite attack. Don't worry though, for these guys don't bite players twice. Their stomachs are best suited for Drowned! (Optional: If you die ever, this is reset and they will do it again.)
Skarpbrine spawn at night and will not attack players during the day. They will still attack Drowned. They have dark slate to black colored scales and glowing red or white eyes. Optional: There are color variations as well.
You can feed them fish which grows them larger. (Limited of course) This heightens there Sonar tag. The higher the Sonar the less likely they will attack you at night. Keep some of these magnificent beasts around your water base or lakes to protect against Drowneds!
It stays away from Dolphins because they will attack the Skarpbrine. I wouldn't recommend keeping them in the same lake. This means that Dolphins can save you from a wild Skarpbrine attack!
It will continue to attack players if Provoked. So don't go and attack it unless you want to be eaten... XD
This Undead Ocean Hostile is Untameable and cannot be bred. It spawns at night in Deep Ocean Biomes. They will spawn in a group of 1-3. (Maybe just 1 or 1-2 depends on how frequent they should spawn) Optional: Baby ones can spawn and will only hunt fish,
Optional: Have the Skaprbrine jump out of the water when attacking/biting and then dive back into the water. As it does this, the player gets pushed up and out as well.
