I think this item would be very useful and a good addition to the overall gameplay of Minecraft. When i was searching for carrots in my survival world, i noticed that the pigs would follow me if i was holding a beetroot. I then furthered my study, and realized that the pigs would eat and consume the beetroot. I then went into my storage house and grabbed my saddle, and some string and sticks. I went into the crafting table and crafted a fishing rod. I remember the recipe for a carrot on a stick. I tried to use that same recipe, but instead of a carrot, i used a beetroot. I noticed that the item did not come up. I searched the recipe book and did not find a beetroot on a stick. I thought about it, and i thought that adding a beetroot on a stick to the game would be a very good addition to Minecraft. Just release a patch that adds this one item, and it will cause less controversy in the younger Minecraft community. Maybe the beetroot on a stick is a little worse and the pig will walk slower if you use this instead. But that is only a suggestion. I would like this added to the game.
Beetroots in essence, are the same as carrots. If i were to be transported into the world of Minecraft, and have full control over everything, it would be possible to put a beetroot on a fishing rod. Same with potatoes. This may not be a very important addition to the game, but i believe that it is needed.
