Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

You can already do this with a lot food in Minecraft!

Maybe the player could eat them as well and it would give them haste (like a sugar rush) for a small amount of time, but if you are too many in quick succession it would give you nausea!

Here is an alternate idea for the sugar cube:

Make it a cube that dissolves when in contact with water. I do not mean 'pop off', but rather something like reversed snow layers, losing height for each x-ticks when in contact with water. This would mean that it loses layers very fast when touching water, to slower when it is raining. It could even drop a sugar(powder) item when decreasing a layer. Since a block would have 8 layers, it always drains some sugar in the process.

The crafting recipe would be a 3x3 sugar square (9 sugar) to offset the possible 8 sugar that might pop up.

Blocks would drop full blocks, or some sugar(powder) when harvested with missing layers.

A block like this would allow for slowly dissolving platforms or rain detectors.
