Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Pinecones.

     This new item, primarily found from Spruce trees, either from breaking the foliage or dropping at random times, and can be used in several ways. It can be eaten, maybe taking half a damage in exchange for filling hunger. You could also throw them like eggs or snowballs to do minor damage.

     But the big use is that it interacts with fire in several ways. If planted and exposed to fire it grows into a tree after a certain amount of time. They could also make it so it reacts to a redstone signal as well. This could allow for some fire-resistant biomes and some surprising builds if someone tampers with your house. Many traps and interesting mechanisms could be utilized, as comparators would react to them and they could be used to block off sunlight sensors.

     Also, they could have it pop after a few moments if it is above ground and on fire, making it act like a small scale grenade, doing minor damage but in an area around it.

Oh, and it would add a bit more variety for those holiday decorations, for those in the festive mood. :)

    it should be a block too, growing on the bottom of leaves, and on the forest floor. that would look nice
