Steve skin remodel.

I honestly think a remodel for the skin, Steve would be a good idea for these updates, Since the colors would be bland in this texture update.

    But you can switch back to the old textures or a different texture pack. Plus it's one of the only things left from the past textures.

    True.  Plus, If you wanted the old Steve textures, The legacy skin pack can offer that to you as well. Alex, is probably fine with her current texture.

    I am already planning my own remodel.  I am currently looking at the zombie's texture for ideas.

    I think they should remake the original bearded Steve skin in a 32 bit textured skin and make his beard look like a beard this time not just a big smile 😂

    I have noticed a texture difference in Alex and the colors of Steve's skin have changed. I'll show the Alex difference below.
