Minecraft is lacking fantasy based biomes.
Having a misty forest biome with giant trees and with fog would be mysterious and amazingly beautiful.
There should be a biome where there are insanely tall trees, and only 2x2 wide.
I imagine this to be like the Lost Woods in BOTW, except instead of stubby, dead trees, they would be how i described them. These trees would be 50 blocks tall, and you wouldn't be able to see the top because of fog covering them.
These should also have a reason to be explored, for example; rare loot, rare flowers that illuminate and give you a dye that you can only get from that biome. Or a village has rare vegetation and villagers with new stuff to be traded.
The trees have a new wood variant that looks a bit like spruce.
Fog will be medium to heavy, and will be easier explored with a light source.
I just realised now that there is a somewhat visual representation of this in this video
