Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Huh. I think that is a pretty good idea. Although, I was thinking, why not have some sort of computer system that can build and mine, e.t.c. You give the core materials and tell it what to do, and it does it. Although, it would probably need a fuel source to get energy... and it would need additional materials to build itself and it's "arms," or whatever you want to call it. Just build a core, and with a good auto-farm, feed it materials constantly and tell it what to do, and it could kind of be like Aperture Laboratories in the game "Portal" all over again! Still, your idea is still pretty good. :-)

With the addition of copper maybe copper can be used to make drills that work with minecarts and restone to automate mining and farming. Iron golem farms are cool are villager based farms work but they rely on mob mechanics and having blocks made for automating tasks could allow people less knowledgeable of redstone to make farms for late game. Basically adding blocks that can break, blocks that can place, blocks thats can craft, blocks that can autosort, blocks that can breed animals and being able to modify minecarts to give them more functionality for players
