Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Sunstone

Maybe a more endgame crafted item that gives off a lot of light, and within 5-10 blocks does damage to creatures that would be hurt by sunlight.

Perhaps you need a flame rod, in-tact glowstone, sea lantern, and nether star. or some bright items that aren't super easy to get to. great for a security system in the overworld, as well as a cave base.
