Secret armours and special weapons

(inspiration: Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild)

I had this idea rattling in my head for some time now: add armours that behave differently in certain biomes and weapons that have unique properties like a bow has increased range and durability and a heavy sword that freezes the hit entity alongside arrows that stun and explode on impact. please tell me what do you think of this idea and if it is very good.

    I think that it wouldn’t be breath of the wild without that you would find the armor then be able to wear it without it it wouldn’t be too much fun it would be boring if couldn’t get secret armor so that’s why
