I just wanna say real quick i'm sorry if this is in the wrong area.First of all, yes i know there are already a LOT of enchantments but i was thinking that there could be specific enchants that could give you potion effects, level 1 being a 3-8 second effect,level 2 being a 5-10 second effect, level 3 being a 7-12 second effect. I'm no expert on how overpowered or weak this might be on a weapon but in a situation like fighting the Ender Dragon and trying to drink a potion in time but you he flings you, you could hit him for say a levitation effect to get rid of the fall damage or have a strength effect after you hit a mob.This could also work by using the same aspect as a lingering potion and an arrow, no enchantments but when you use it it inflicts that effect on the mob.I really hope that someone gets to see my idea because i honestly think it sounds pretty cool.
