In-game Skin Changing

I believe that there needs to be a way to change your skin while in-game in the Java version. I find it very tedious have to close my game, relaunch, and wait for it to load all over again, just to fit in for a roleplay! The way this could work would be simple as, go to your menu, enter the skin options, and there would be a "change skin" option, it would bring you to your file explorer where you would choose the skin file like normal, and then it would load the skin in the game.

    it would very helpful if the in game skin chooser was accessible to game transcrion in beta 1.11.9 it is not accessible.

    A thing like that exists but only on bedrock. So I'd love to see it on the Java version of the game too.

    I can confirm that we should have ability to change skin while in the game so this makes it much easier for us instead of restarting the game

    As a Minecraft role-player, this is an absolute necessity. It should be easy to switch between select skins like the resource pack selection menu. Please!!!

    You should also be able to change you cape in game
