3 player split-screen

When I play with two other people on split screen, there’s a black box on the bottom right corner where the fourth player would join. The problem is that we don’t have a fourth player and find it annoying. Can you make it that the second player takes up the screen or the third player takes it depending on the split screen setting. You can even make it like away to always display hints in there if you can’t. Just make it so that one corner of my tv isn’t dead

    Agreed, it’s quite irritating to have all that wasted screen space. It would be great to be able to assign one player or perhaps the first to log in to have the full wide screen like in two player mode.

    I submitted a request for this exact thing, but then found this. It is such an overlooked feature to have the first or third or (whichever player you choose in settings) to have 1/2 the screen while the remaining players stay at 1/4 of the screen. Why not? It's been a feature in older split-screen games for ages.

    I believe making the option to choose who gets the half screen, via the settings, is a great idea.

    What will it look like when its 3 players?
