The Cold

When a player sleeps in a bed, there is a small chance that he/she will wake up in a copy of the Overworld, only they will most likely be the only player there. For 5 mins., it will be just like the normal Overworld. After 5 minutes, it will turn night suddenly, and it will stay night. After 15 minutes of only nighttime, the temperatures will drop. Water will start to freeze, and it will show nonstop. After 10 minutes of non-stop snowing, the player will teleport to the bed he/she slept in to get to this dimension. The player will be back in the Overworld, and things will continue as normal. The player will keep their items from this dimension. The basic idea of this is that the player had a dream where the Minecraft Sun simply disapeared.
