Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Heart of the Volcano - Lava Conduit

Like the water conduit, only for Lava, of course.  Requires the same kind of set up, lava around the item, caged in blocks.  In this case, the blocks would be Nether Brick or similar (maybe Quartz?).

The item itself would be found either in the Nether Fortress, or randomly with maps in the Fortress.  Probably not maps given how terrible they are to use in the Nether.  Maybe a compass directing you to it?

The powers of the Lava Conduit would be water breathing, night vision, and rather than haste, fire resistance, of course.

    I would say the rings would be Magma Blocks. Makes more sense and fiery.

    I say it should give them fire resistance, night vision, and haste seeing that water breathing is unless in the lava.

    I think it would be really cool if it was a new block exclusive to the volcano biome. Like brimstone or burnt stone for the cage. The heart of the volcano could be found as a one in one hundred fifty in fortress chests.
