Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

🐠🐟🐑 Aquarium block

Hey, so I know it's totally possible to build aquariums using blocks, but what if you wanted a compact aquarium that would fit in a small space, like on a bookshelf?

This would basically be an aquarium block that you could craft and place.

  1. You would be able to decorate it with things like coral or seagrass (by right-clicking while holding).
  2. You'd add fish to it using buckets. It could probably hold two fish at the most.
  3. Anything you added would be automatically arranged andΒ scaled to fit inside.
  4. Possibly there would be 1-block and 2-block versions, like with chests.
  5. It would also be cool if it glowed at night.

This would be a really awesome and highly customizable decoration. It would encourage players to collect fish and other things from the ocean and would allow them to keep fish as pets in a compact way.

    Thank you for explaining this idea! I too want an aquarium option available.

    Like the OP said, an aquarium block would be great! Or at least offer more fish species in the game (both fresh and salt) to give more variety. Perhaps add a function to gravel so when you use the crafting table you can dye the gravel, add glow ink if you want flourescent gravel, to make an aquarium substrate. Or maybe the Totem of Undying could be put into a fishtank (since some of the totems look like cute fishtank decorations).

    Why do you want something done?

    Minecraft is a limitless game. Not only can we take great adventures in the game, but we can also make homes that some ofus cannot have in the real world. Getting to even have an aquarium is not an option for some of us.

    As was aforementioned, having another crafting option for gravel would be great, perhaps an aquarium block type, and maybe even some more fish species (both fresh and salt).
