Use shears to get feathers from chickens

If you can get wool from sheep, and mushrooms from mooshrooms, why can't you get feathers from chickens?

    It would only give one or two feathers but would be cool

    There could be a tuft of tail feathers that gets sheared off instead of the whole body like sheep so we don't have naked chickens.

    Or at least have them drop feathers, that way pasafists could get feathers as well

    It could work the same way that shearing sheeps does. You can “pluck” the chickens with shears and get 1-3 feathers.

    Maybe it could even be a different tool altogether. This would be really helpful though.
