At the current state, Wandering Traders can be easily abused by the player. Players can just do any trade they are interested in and then kill the Trader to take his Llamas and the Leashes.
I suggest implementing a reputation system which changes the spawn rate, the prices and the items offered in trades. It will increase by 1 whenever a player completes at least a trade with a Wandering Trader and if the Trader despawns peacefully, and will decrease by 5 if the Trader dies directly to the player, or by 2 or 3 if the Trader dies to other sources (in order to prevent trapping and killing them by other sources, like suffocating).
If the reputation is high enough, they will start selling good and exotic items at a pretty low price (like 1 Diamond for 12 Emeralds, an Enchanted Golden Apple for 32 Emeralds, Mycelium, highly enchanted equipment, etc.) and they will spawn slightly faster than normal. If it is very low, they will only spawn very rarely, and will have trades like 10 Emeralds for a Bone.
Of course, both positive and negative reputation should have capacities (like +20 and -50). (The values aren't fixed, they can be changed.)
What do you say? Should this be implemented?
