Machine Upgrades (March 2019 ORE challenge)

What if we had upgrades we could put on machines like speed, fuel efficiency, luck, and extra storage. The upgrades would have a tier system going gold, diamond, emerald. Each machine could have 1 upgrade. The speed could be crafted with a rabbit foot, 4 iron, and 4 lapis. It could be applied to hoppers, and other things that take time like furnaces and smokers (1.14). Fuel efficiency would be crafted by using 4 blocks of coal, 4 redstone, and 1 furnace. This increases the amount of items that can be smelted with an item. Luck is 1 ender pearl, 4 lapis and 4 redstone. has a chance of giving extra drops. Extra storage is 4 chests, 4 iron, and a ghast tear. Can apply to the storage of an item. These recipes are the upgrade chips. To craft the gold upgrade surround chip with gold, for diamond surround gold upgrade with diamonds and so on. These upgrades could also be found in the world, and maybe a villager could sell them.
