Steam Whistles!

Important!: This post will be including some blocks from my other posts which are the Bamboo Pipes and the Steam Machine so if you don’t know what they can do just click on their names.

We have Note Blocks which create different sounds depending on the block that we use and we also have the Bell which is used as an alarm system for raids or just for summoning Villagers to a meeting point. Seeing that we have these blocks in game, what’s stopping us from saying that Steam Whistles should be in game as well?

Steam Whistles

Info: Steam Whistles are a very special tool or in this world block. They come in different sizes and shapes and make different sounds depending on the material that the player uses. I have made a list of the amount of steam whistles that you can make and I will leave the names of the whistles in real life that are making the sounds as well. Now I couldn’t come up with a lot of them but I am still doing research of what sounds would be suggestable.

Whistles Made From Gold

Name: Golden Whistle(Stage 1)

Recipe: 2 Gold Ingots(top and bottom center) and 1 Golden Nugget(middle center).

Name: Golden Whistle(Stage 2)

Recipe: 1 Gold Ingot above a Golden Whistle at stage 1.

Whistles Made From Iron

Name: Iron Whistle(Stage 1)

Recipe: 2 Iron Ingots(top and bottom center) and 1 Iron Nugget(middle center).

Minecraft Related Whistles: So I’ve gone through the ones that should be added into Minecraft but I feel like there should be two special Minecraft whistles that everyone will know by heart. So I came up with these:

Ghost Train Whistle

Recipe: 2 Iron Ingots(top and bottom center) and a Carved Pumpkin(middle center).

Info: This whistle sounds very spooky and sounds like a train coming back from the scrapyard. That’s basically the graveyard for trains.

Mob Whistle

Recipe: 2 Golden Ingots(top and bottom center) and a mob head(middle center).

Info: This whistle is a strange one indeed. Depending on what mob head you use in the recipe, it will scare off any mobs in a certain radius when blown. So when a player uses a Creeper Head in the recipe, all Creepers will run the opposite direction of where the whistle is blown in a certain block radius.

How to Use a Whistle: How you can use a steam whistle is by connecting it to a Steam Machine. Once connected the whistle will now need to be attached to a piece of string. In order to do that just right click the whistle with the item. You can also attach more string to the whistle if you want it to be very long.

Using Bamboo Pipes: If you use Bamboo Pipes, you can connect more whistles together while saving the amount of steam that you’re using from the Steam Machine at the same time.
