Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Poison Apple

We already have Apples, Golden Apples and Enchanted Golden Apples. We should have the iconic Poison Apple from Disney fantasy folklore.

 

It could help balance the OP effects of the Golden Apple Varients.

 

It could either kill the player whom eats it immediately, or poison them to such a severity that they must consume the antidote very quickly, before they succumb to its effects.

The antidote could be the Golden Apple itself.

 

The Poison Apple has been a trope in human folklore since the story of Adam & Eve in the Bible. Eve eats of the forbidden fruit of knowledge (an apple) and suffers a 'spiritual death'.

 

It is an integral part of the very first Disney film; "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs", where Snow White is offered the poisoned apple by the witch, bites into it, and falls into a 'sleeping death'.

 

And has since been included as a trope in:

Descendents: Wicked World

 

I think it could work quite well within the magical, fantasy world of Minecraft.

    It should be called suspicious apple to then trick new players and be fun for pranking.

    I had the same idea ngl, but my idea for its main purpose would be for villager zombification. What You'd do is drop the poisoned apple in front of a villager who's then pick it up & eat it. This would then start zombifying the villager, making it an easy method of creating zombie villagers instead by of trapping a zombie.

    It could have the skin of a reg. apple and you could change its name with an anvil to say just "apple". Devious multi-player mechanics😈
