I know that all the builders in Minecraft hate having to use sea lanterns, glowstone, redstone lamps, and torches in their builds. Sea lanterns, redstone lamps, and glowstone are big, bulky, often ugly, and just overall don't fit in with many builds. Torches are sloppy and don't fit in with much. That's why we need a new light source. Something small, good looking, and functional. I often find myself using beacons as light blocks, because they just look the best. That's why I think we need a new light. I imagine it being like the base of a armor stand with a small white light surrounded in glass. Something like a beacon, but white light instead of blue and no obsidian. Also, only a half slab thick and can be placed on the ceiling or the floor. I know it's already a lot, but it would be nice if it could be turned on and off. I'd think by clicking it like how you'd change a day/night sensor to day or night. A cool, neat light with redstone acts, without redstone circuits. I'd say it would be pretty expensive in survival mode using three stone slabs across the bottom and an outline in glass blocks with a redstone lamp in the middle.
