Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

New Ore for The End Dimension (Unnamed)

I recognized that of the 8 different types of ores currently in the game, 7 are in the Overworld and 1 is in The Nether.

 

Because of this, players have a reason to mine in The Overworld and The Nether, but not in The End.

 

Since this game is called MINEcraft, there should really be an ore type that can only be found in The End dimension to give players a reason to mine there, like they have for the other two dimensions.

 

I think it should be an ore that contains a mineral with similar properties to quartz (ie. can be crafted into: blocks, stairs, slabs, walls, chiseled blocks & pillar blocks). As opposed to the properties of the minerals found in The Overworld dimension, that can't be crafted into these kinds of blocks.

 

I think it should be an exotic/fantasy kind of ore, to reflect the theme of its respective dimension.

 

Since the current ore minerals come in the following colors, I think this new 'End Ore' should come in a new color:

 

Nether Quartz: White

Coal: Black

Iron: Silver

Gold: Yellow

Diamond: Light Blue / White

Redstone: Red

Emerald: Green

Lapis Lazuli: Blue

 

Suggestions: Violet, Purple, Orange, Pink.

    I like the idea of an end ore. Amethyst seems like a good name for a purple ore.

    Yes having two ores orange and purple would allow for more possibilities, it would be cool if you could craft armour with the orange ore which could be similar in strength to iron but have the benefit of allowing you to look at Ender men similar to pumpkins except you would have the full view of your screen. The purple ore could be stronger than the orange, around diamond, but would not have the protection against looking at Ender men. They would instead allow another buff, maybe something like limited teleportation. Kind off like chorus fruit. As well as this both ores could be crafted into full blocks. A Vibrant orange gem block and vivid Purple gem block would look beautiful as would their respective armour and tools.

    As for names I was thinking Enderite for the Purple Ore and I’m to to sure what to call the Orange Ore.

    It should be a neon green, because green is another color for the End.

    Hi there,

    I would also like to add a new ore to The End dimension called Endium. It can only be found on the bottoms of islands. You can turn it into tools and weapons and armor. You can turn it into ingots and blocks, too. And it's a bit stronger than Netherite.

    A new ore could be used for a new mechanic. With an end update they would probably add cliffy biomes that are dangerous. Wouldnt it be awesome if you could draft a tool piece of armor or potion to be able to teleport randomly, a block before you hit the gorund and die. Maybe its an expensive end ore that can only be found at the bottom of islands in a certain biome. And maybe there are limitations or custom set boundaries to where you can rtp. This would be a huge change for redstone but a good one.

    Void Quartz, it isn't a very original name, but a violet quartz texture or some newer textures. Maybe it could be called Void Crystals, and it could be a cool thing.

    Netherite would have to be in end ore armor and tool recipes
