Recently played in survival and for a very, very long time could not find the desert. And I thought that it would be much better if biomes that differ in climate were generated from north to south as in reality. If you go to the north - they will meet more and more cold biomes. If the south - more and more warm biomes. And to the west and east, they will be replaced randomly, but within the one climate. That is, if you go from the taiga to the east or to the west, only biomes or oceans that look like taiga will come across, but the savanna, for example, will never fall. This will make it easier for players to navigate the world and add the ability to meet a wide variety of biomes more often.

It really annoys you when you go 5000 blocks in one direction and only forest, forest, forest and you spend your time searching for a needing biome, and the map size grows and grows.

  This would be an interesting way to add a higher level of organization to the generation of biomes, However, the Minecraft world by default is 60,000,000 blocks square (see https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/World_boundary), so to notice a difference in temperature, you would have to travel millions of blocks! So if you wanted ice, you would have a long walk from spawn roughly (0, 0) to go get it.

  Perhaps there could be strips of cold areas spaced a few thousand blocks apart, with hot areas in between? although I wouldn't know how to justify that type of geography.
