Armour/Elytra health bars in the HUD

I find it irritating when you are fighting a dangerous mob with armour or flying around with your elytra, then suddenly, BANG! You find yourself without any armour or falling into the abyss. I feel that an armour health bar would really help as you would know that you were in danger and shouldn't fight or should stop to repair. PS: If this is added, please add to ALL editions; it is unfair if only Java or Bedrock or Console had it.

    Console (and apparently Java) had/has this for the shield. It also needs to be in Bedrock. I would actually suggest you change the title of your post from 'armour' to 'shield' for this reason. I don't think having actual armour on the HUD is viable because you need to find room for 4 slots rather than 1.
