360 degree beacon

I would like to see a new type of light source that (best described as...) looks like a beacon but can emit light from all sides (360°) including the bottom. I found that beacons not only emit light (meaning they can be used as a light source but unfourtunately do not emit light from the bottom) but look really cool when used as a building material especially when you don't have the room for a proper lighting system. This could also open up new possibilities for new recipies. It could have a similar recipe to constructing a beacon maybe? Could you please also give us the ability to select a colour or maybe even allow the installer (player) to have this new item perform "light shows" (meaning change colour)? What about if certain conditions are met that would cause the colour to change - maybe due to a specific player entering its range? Maybe due to something a player within this item's detection range is carrying? What about if a player is carrying a "remote" that would allow them to change the colour that way?

    Fixed your subject up. New light isn't quite as descriptive as what you're asking for, which is a 360 degree beacon. :) Hope that helps, good luck.
