Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Extinguishing Fires

I would like it if a fire goes out either on grass, tree trunks, dirt, sand, and almost any block that it leaves some black soot where the fire was. Maybe we can collect the black soot and use it to make torches. Like 9 black soot equals 1 coal and then we can make a torch out of it or use it in the stone ovens.

    that would be pretty cool actually. So like when the fire doesn't get extinguished it removes the block as normal, but when it gets put out with water or a hand it leaves this chared soot thing?
