- /team modify <team> chatRules global
- /team modify <team> chatRules onlyWithTeam
- /team modify <team> chatRules onlyWithoutTeam
- /team modify <team> chatRules onlySpecificTeams <team(s)>
- Global is used by default, any and every player will be able to view the messages you put in chat.
- Example: /team modify red chatRules global
-onlyWithTeam is similar to /teammsg (or /tm for short); it allows members within your team to see what you have put in chat without others from outside your team to view it.
- Example: /team modify red chatRules onlyWithTeam
-onlyWithoutTeam allows for a "chat barrier". Players within your team will not be able to see messages that you have typed, only players not included in your team are able to view it.
- Example: /team modify red chatRules onlyWithoutTeam
-onlySpecificTeams makes it so only teams selected will be able to see your messages. Note: This includes your own team as well if wanted. Aliases will be given to add and remove a chosen team at will.
- Example: /team modify red chatRules onlySpecificTeams add Blue
- Example: /team modify red chatRules onlySpecificTeams add Yellow
- Example: /team modify red chatRules onlySpecificTeams remove Red
- Example: /team modify red chatRules onlySpecificTeams add Red
I've personally been wanting a feature like this for a while. When the ./teammsg command was introduced, I considered it to be a "hack-fix". Adding a chatRules feature offers a lot of potential to Map Makers and Vanilla Server Owners, giving ourselves more flexibility when it comes to in-game chat.
