Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Different variations of wooden tools

As minecraft have recently made different variations of signs ( dark oak,birch, etc.) i thought why not have the same for wooden tools too , so you could have a birch wood picaxe for example and it would actually look like it was made out of birch wood instead of just looking like a oak picaxe no matter what wood you made it with. I hope this makes sense and i know that i'm not spelling picaxe right but i don't know how to spell it and i really hope this feature will be added to minecraft soon.😊

    I can see where you are coming from, but the problem is that your idea is of no use because, unlike with signs, almost nobody ever uses wooden tools except for their first few minutes in survival mode. I don't see any need to add stuff to the game that nobody would ever want to actually use, do you see what I mean?

    Now that the nether update is out, this should especially be a feature that should be spread to shields, bows, and fishing rods as well as the standard wooden tools. There doesn’t need to be any effect other than aesthetic.
