Stonecutter Looks Too Brutal!

A lot of people look at the Stonecutter and assume it is a trap, that it will hurt you if you stand on it. With an unprotected vertical blade, it should hurt you if you stand on it.

There are two possible solutions to this problem:

  1. Make it hurt you.
  2. Put a cover on it!

I personally would prefer to put a cover on the stonecutter because it is a tool. For a dedicated trap block I would prefer a redstone spike that juts out like a piston. Maybe that could mine blocks too! But I guess the team is sick of hearing that idea...

An unprotected circular saw feels too brutal in my opinion. Change the model to look more approachable.

    It shouldn't be always animated, only while in use should it be animated.

    The blade could stop and go down if an entity touches it, like some real safety blades out there!

    Put signs on the side, a trapdoor on top, and you've got a working lid!

    I think it should do damage but only when moving, and should only move when powered by redstone. Then it could have more uses (traps)
