Non-Abandoned Mine Shafts

We have abandoned mine shafts in game already. I think it would be cool to see fully working mine shafts that are rich of materials, full of useful mining loot (ex enchanted pickaxes, ingots and gems, and enchanted books that are for pickaxes [ex efficiency]) and well put together with good upkeep.

Another thing would be miners. Miners would look like villagers, but have mining hats on, pickaxes, etc. It would be cool for a new villager skin.

As for where these non-abandoned mine shafts would be, I think they should go deep below villages relating to my previous suggestion. If not, lemme know where they should go, but I don't see a full on working mine shaft being out in the middle of nowhere.

    Great idea, here is my suggestions: 

    • the working mineshaft should add a new profession to villagers, they would have mine carts as their profession block.
    • the entrance of the mine would be about 10 blocks away from the nearest house and would have mine cart rails leading from the mine itself to the Blacksmith shop.
    • the mineshaft would have the mine cart chests with loot just like the abandoned one, but the loot will be better. 
    • There should not be any spider webs and they should have a more used look.

    again great idea Minecraft needs this!

    I love this idea! A friend of mine actually suggested something similar when a group of us were playing Minecraft. I think its a great idea, and it makes sense. Players shouldn't be the only ones mining. I mean, how did the villagers get their emeralds? One of my friend's ideas is that when you trade with mining villagers, you can get tools from them for emeralds, or the other way around.
