I would like an option to make Maps look similarly to Treasure Maps, with a sort of sepia-greyscale if you catch my drift where all of the colours are different shades of that tannish colour, but none of the functionality would be taken away in comparison to a standard map.
I think this would be really neat because it would allow mapmakers to make fantasylike maps and would also allow a more realistic looking map for people roleplaying or simply after the aesthetic.
I believe this would be achieved by dying a non-empty map with brown dye, either via placing the map next to a singular brown dye item on the crafting table, the use of the cartography table coming to us soon, or brown dyed water (in bedrock edition).
