Downloading Other Friends Worlds

 

Hello, so me and my friends came up with this thing and we are hoping you can make it happen

So we play all together but sometimes the friend with the world has to go but we want to still play

So I was hoping that you can make an update where you can down load somebody’s world

We want to do this because if we can download the world we want to play that means, the other people could play even if they have to go

Could you please make this an update!!!

    I agree, this is something we should be able to do. I don't see the logic in keeping it exclusive to the owner if it's purely to prevent cheating - there's nothing to stop you from making a single player world in creative with the world seed and then finding ore/treasure locations there before transferring this knowledge to the server.

    I've been playing on this realm with two of my cousins for the last 3+ years and I am by far the largest contributor to builds on the realm. With world download availability working how it does now, it means I stand to lose the most if my cousin (the registered host) ever decides to let the realm lapse and there's really nothing I can do about it. If he "forgets" or can't be bothered to send me a back-up etc... that'll be (at least) 3yrs worth of projects and builds that I would lose forever. Even if we could just download the file in a "view only" capacity, it would be better than the current option of having no options.
