Downloading Other Friends Worlds

 

Hello, so me and my friends came up with this thing and we are hoping you can make it happen

So we play all together but sometimes the friend with the world has to go but we want to still play

So I was hoping that you can make an update where you can down load somebody’s world

We want to do this because if we can download the world we want to play that means, the other people could play even if they have to go

Could you please make this an update!!!

    This is what Realms is.

    Ik what youre talking about and I see how this is different from realms: its more lowkey, and you're just having fun and not looking to pay all the money for a full on realm that you don't need all the features of. U just want to play a simple game with your friends and it should absolutely be possible to do on your own, I used to do this too.

    1 - When youre finished playing, put your inventories and armor in chests and make your pets following you sit down. Write down your coordinates too and make sure you know whos is whos. When your friends leave, and you go back on the world under your own account instead of theirs, minecraft is notorious for mixing up your inventories and locations so this is important as you might end up playing under a different account, it makes it logistically easier but you will be able to know what stuff is yours.

    2 - log off everyone and save & quit the world. Locate the world file and make a copy to be safe. Worlds are in your .minecraft folder, search %appdata% in file explorer and go to .minecraft, then saves, then copy your world file from there.

    3 - send this world file to your friends, then they can put it in their saves folder and play it themselves. do this over email or share it w them to download over google drive if the file is too big. Zip the world file into one file first. 

    4 - your friends can then open up this file on their own computers to play, and since its them logging in and not you, they can identify whose inventory goes to who.

    Yes I really hope minecraft can make this happen because it’s really frustrating when you make a really cool world but the person who made it can’t always be on when you want

    idk i would say the real problem is your playing on a relam for long time till owner gets  tierd of it and shuts it down and you stand helpless and all your time hase been wasted for nothing when you can´t recover your base

    Please make this happen. The only reason this doesnt have more likes is because people dont go on this feedback center that often. But it would make the game so much better

    This NEEDS to be a feature. Its ridiculous you can spend hundreds of hours on a world and lose all that work because the owner doesn't want to play anymore. It makes no sense not having it as a feature. Rather than having the realm shut down someone else could upload it and then continue the subscription. You continue getting paid for the realm and we continue getting to play it when the owner doesn't want to anymore.

    I think this is a bad idea, what if there are destructive people that load it up just to blow it up when their "friend" is not there?

    But I do believe you should be able to copy a friend's world onto your world list.

    Im guessing the sad answer is this will never happen they made realms for one reason and thats money not player happiness and simplicity

    Believe it or not this used to be a feature in Minecraft Pocket Edition back in 2012-2013 if I remember correctly. I have no idea why they took that away.

    Whenever I play with my friends on Xbox, the host of the world always happens to leave and the rest of us are left without the world and we want to continue.

    Please add a feature where we can stay on the world and the host can share the world so that other players are able to log on anytime, but only a maximum of 8 players since that is the max.

    this would be a great idea,

    but why wouldn't you just buy a realm

    which is another problem

    if you pay for a realm, if you're a kid you'd get in big trouble

    Everyone still wants this. It's very helpful and useful when you want to work on things while the owner is busy.

    The best thing is to have the option for everyone except by default it's disabled, at least for bedrock edition the download button is in the "pause" menu which doesn't even pause the game even if multiplayer is turned off.

    This would be great as someone who pays for a realm I don't wanna keep paying for a realm that only i and one other end up playing on and all the work that's been done it would suck if you do all that work and the owner shuts it down and you cant play on it anymore iv been downloading backups though so I still have them to play on after i stop paying and the friend is willing to pay but if the world need to  be backed up they would need to msg me and i would have to get on but if i could just send the world save to them from pc to xbox or vice versa it'll be a lot easier. plz do this
