(This is a migration from my previous post "Sleeping Bags" (85 votes) which was closed because it was a previously considered feedback. This post will be dealing with a the same issue, but will propose a different method for fixing it.)
When you go travelling, it is annoying to sleep in a bed and die, and never find your home again, or have broken the bed to continue travelling, and respawn some random place in the middle of the ocean.
With the new update and changes to the Taiga biome and the introduction of berries and campfires, a nice addition would be tents. Think about it; it would be the perfect addition to the 1.14 update theme!
The tents could be crafted with carpet and sticks and string.

Now we have two options for fixing the underlying problem mentioned above.
1) Make tents sleepable but don't set the spawnpoint with them, or
2) Give tents a mechanic of one-time respawning; I will explain:
You have a home with a bed. You go looking for a biome and place down a tent, and sleep there for the night. You break it, and move on. You get attacked by monsters, and wake up where your tent was, even though you broke it. But, the next time you die you respawn near your bed. I like this mechanic because it gives players a second chance, but not more.
