Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Great idea! I've also thought this would be cool. This or paint which would probably be more generic and open-ended than plaster.

I literally had the exact same idea but, to clarify, any texture in the game, or just colour?

My thought for Plaster or paint would be to incorporate balls of clay/terracotta and dye combined in a cauldron then use a feather or a sponge or a paint/plaster tool(feather+stick &/or sponge+stick).
I think it should be applied like a 0.1 width without blocking chests or other items that are not full blocks like a variant of carpets on walls. Alternatively it could be applied to item frames or paper.

Having the ability to cover a 1×1 block on any given side w/out obstructing the partial blocks around it will help to cleanup redstone builds and make them easier to incorporate in every build.

This will be good for making existing blocks more useful and thereby more desirable especially feathers & cauldrons.
