Portals leading to new dimension

I'd love to see new portals in structures. This would be a way to add new advancements, blocks, possibly weapons and maybe ores only in that dimension. In these dimensions, there could be different biomes inside them. 

You could make new blocks specifically for that portal or you could use blocks that are already inside the game. Along with this, you could make new particles that appear when the portal is activated.
