Custom Animated Images (Feature Request)

Hello today, I'm sharing a quick decorative idea with the Mojang development team so my idea is to allow the *.gif file extension to play animations for world image files and image in resource packs/behavior packs for example it would be really cool to have an animated "world_icon.jpeg" play an animation as a "world_icon.gif" file or have a pack_icon.png play as a "world_icon.gif" this would mainly would be used for making Minecraft worlds and resource packs/behavior packs more aesthetically pleasing to players a like.
