Phoenix Mob!: A New Mini Boss and It Can be Tamed?

Phoenixes should be added in game. It would be a great mini boss mob to be seen and plus, I would just love to see a giant fire bird flying around our Minecraft worlds. Who wouldn’t?

 

Phoenix

Health: Unknown

Defense: 2 bars

Attack: See the list of abilities below

Spawn: Rarely in The Nether

Drops: 3-7 Phoenix Feathers and itself?

Uses for Phoenix Feathers: Recipe for Phoenix Bow and Phoenix Arrows

 

Abilities

Fire Blast: The Phoenix will open its mouth and will unleash a ray of fire for 7 seconds. The attack will do half a heart of damage every half a second.

Heat Wave: The Phoenix will flap its giant wings at the opponent unleashing a wave a fire. This attack will do 4 hearts of damage.

Claws: The flying creature will use its claws at the opponent if they’re close enough dealing 3 hearts of damage.

Reincarnation: When the mob dies it will form back into its egg.

 

Weaknesses

Water: The mob is weak to water and will find shelter if it’s raining.

 

The Items

Phoenix Bow

Recipe: 3 Blaze Rods, 2 Phoenix Feathers, 3 String

Info: Does the same amount of damage as a regular bow but when firing an arrow from it, it will turn into a small Phoenix flying like projectile(the projectile does not actually fly). However it’s best considered to use Phoenix Arrows for this weapon rather than a regular arrow.

Phoenix Arrow

Recipe: 1 Blaze Rod, Phoenix Feather, 1 Flint

Info: When you use a Phoenix Arrow with the Phoenix Bow, the Phoenix projectile will be bigger. This improved projectile will spread its wings out farther and can cover 5 blocks horizontally depending on where the player is facing dealing fire damage.

 

Phoenix Egg?!

Info: Upon death the Phoenix will unleash a great burst of flames and will transform into a Phoenix Egg. The player can also then take the egg by right clicking it with an open hand. When placed on a Magma Block the stages of the Phoenix being reborn will begin. This will allow the player to get their own tameable and rideable Phoenix in game.

 

Stages

The growth for an adult Phoenix will take a very long time. It will take days for it to grow into an adult and master its abilities once again. The little bird has 5 stages until it’s fully grown:

 

Stage 1: The egg starts to have a little crack.

Stage 2: There’s even more cracks in the egg.

Stage 3: The creature is born and can sit on the players shoulder. If the creature is damaged give it Blaze Powder to speed up the healing process. This will work with the other stages as well.

Stage 4: The creature can no longer sit on the players shoulder and it starts to use weaker versions of its attacks.

Stage 5: The creature is now an adult.

 

Your Tameable Phoenix Sir: Now that the player raised the Phoenix into an adult it now has mastered its abilities once again and they’re stronger than before.

Abilities(tamed)

Riding the Beast(new): The owner can now ride on the Phoenix's back.

Flying Speeds(new): The tamed mob can now fly almost as fast as a player using an Elytra at maximum speeds. This only happens when the owner is riding it though.

Fire Blast: Will now unleash its fiery blaze for 10 seconds.

Heat Wave: Now does 4 hearts of damage.

Claws: Now does 3 and a half hearts of damage.

Reincarnation: When the mob dies(in any stage) it will form back into its egg just waiting to be picked up by the player again to start the life cycle from the beginning.

 

Weaknesses

Water: The mob is still weak to water and will find shelter if it’s raining. The mob can also not be flown when it’s raining.

Hunger: When flying on the Phoenix for a long time it uses energy from the mob. The more energy that is used, the slower the Phoenix gets. This is indicating that the mob needs food in order for it to continue its flying journey. The player can also see a food bar for the Phoenix when mounted onto it so they can tell when it needs food or not. Luckily the food for the Phoenix isn’t that hard. All it needs is some Blaze Powder to get it back in action.

    This mob sounds a little bit overpowered.  It seems like it might need to be a boss.  Very neat idea though!

    Think it should be tameable, but it should be a rare spawn in the desert, not the nether. The damage should be toned  down, and they should be neutral.

    Yeah it could just be as common as blazes and spawns and flies around the nether and is just a neutral mob instead of a boss

    This shouldn't really be a mini boss but more of a neutral flying mob in the nether. Currently their really isn't many flying things in the nether and it could be really cool to have something like a bird made of fire, twice the size of a parrot.

    I don't know about the taming part though. The Phoenix is made of fire and it doesn't make sense that it is tameable like that since the player would probably take fire damage when in contact. Instead, you could gain its trust in which it won't attack you follows you, but only give natural light and cooks food that you drop near it. So it can still be a tameable but a little more nerfed so mojang doesn't have doubts with this idea.

    I like the trusting and the mob not being a mini boss mob ideas but I feel like it would look like a mini boss mob. Also it's supposed to spawn in the deserts rarely now instead of the nether. I would edit the post but with the new limit of characters I can use, I don't want to split this up even more. I was thinking it had a spiritually flame and that allows the player to ride the mob. I was just wanting to have a flyable tamed bird in game lol. Thanks for the ideas my friend :D

    Maybe the tamed version shouldn’t be more powerful, I think it needs a little balancing. But otherwise from that I think it’s cool and we do need another way to travel through the nether safely.

    This new mini boss would be a Ash grey and dark blue Phoenix around half the size of the wither. It would spawn in the basalt deltas at a chance of 1/100 or 1/50 and cannot naturally spawn within 10 chunks of another. It would have two attacks a physical attack with talons that do 6/8/10 damage on easy/normal/hard and a flame burst attack that launches fire particles in all directions 20 blocks out and sets any mobs on fire for 20 ticks can be blocked with shield or completely negated with fire resistance. It would have 200 health, take no knockback and has a passive regen 1. Its main drop would be phoenix feathers (3 to 7) that make potions of Rising Phoenix that give regen and absorption. There would also be the rare drop of Phoenix ashes and a even rarer chance at blue ashes(1/50 to 1/125 blue 1/100 to 1/250) that when used in a particular process would let you gain your own Pet Phoenix that is red yellow and orange in color, Blue ash Phoenixes would be a dark, light and ocean blue mix of colors (if a pet Phoenix dies it has a 100% chance of dropping the ashes again) . When grown will fly, it will not take fire damage and it is a non-combat pet. Instead there are two things it could do the first is that for every Phoenix you have you gain regen increasing by 1 level to 3, the second method starts at 1st then the 2nd expands the area it effects and the 3rd gives regen 2. Other players Phoenixes would also add to this but not exceed the maximum of what 3 total would do.

    Dont forget about Phoenix tears which could be a rare drop of 1 or 2 and can instantly heal a player to full health after being consumbed. The tear could also give fire resistance forr like 3 or 5 mins

    The Phoenix bow should be able to shoot flaming arrows without the enchament. And it would also make tipped arrows be on fire. Greater range and/or accruacy.

    I think a phoenix would be nice. though i do agree it needs some more balancing. My idea for the amount of health would be 500 hp.

    I certainly agree that the phoenix should be tamable, but rideable.... This just doesn't seem exactly realistlic with the mythical bird. The phoenix should certainly drop an egg, but the phoenix hatched should be WAY less powerful. Like the ohoenix bow, but it should shoot fiery arrows without needing the flame enchantment... all things considered, this is a very interesting idea!

    Phoenix
    It appears very rarely in the jungle, and more often in Nether forests, but still rarely. A player can tame a phoenix by giving it raw rabbit. Once you've tamed the phoenix, it will attack mobs that you're attacking. When it is killed, it turns into ash. From the ash, it will be reborn exactly as it was before it was killed. However, after being reborn, it must wait 10 seconds before it can attack again. The phoenix can be healed with fish.

    You can make a pillar for the phoenix, which you receive after taming it. The phoenix will only sit on its pillar if you click on it and if it is within range of the pillar. To assign a pillar to a phoenix, you must place the pillar within the phoenix's range and then click on the phoenix. You can move the pillar, but if you destroy it, the phoenix won’t have anywhere to sit. If you place the pillar again, it will be empty and you can assign the phoenix to it again.

    The phoenix has 20 health points and 6 attack points. You can only have one tamed phoenix. Phoenix is of dark red color
