I'm sure I'm not the first person to mention that beacons are quite worthless for the time it takes to make them. To solve this problem, I suggest that beacons can induce visions. Whenever you go to bed on during a new moon and you are within 10 blocks of a beacon, you will have a dream / vision that would show you an undiscovered generated structure. Here's how it would work:
The camera rises up above your bed until it is just below the clouds. Then the game searches unexplored chunks for a desert temple, jungle temple, ocean monument, igloo, pillager outpost, shipwreck, village, underwater ruin, or woodland mansion. When it finds one, the camera flies there, zooms in, and the vision ends.
This would be extremely useful for finding new structures that you haven't found already. It also would add another use for the beacon.
For Clarification: In singleplayer, time temporarily would stop moving. In multiplayer, the player having the vision would just sleep longer than normal. If all players are having the vision, time would stop moving, and they would all see the same structure.
