Smoke Signals

With the addition of the campfire comes new possibilities. One idea is smoke signals.
Smoke signals work in a simple way. If you right-click a campfire with scaffolding, the scaffolding will be placed in the same blockspace, almost as if it were sheltering it. You can now proceed to place carpet on top of the scaffolding. If you place normal carpet, nothing will happen, but if you give the carpet a name, the smoke will spell out the name of the block. So you name a piece of carpet to “help me” and place it on top, the smoke will spell out the word a letter at a time. As an added bonus, you can place food on top of the scaffolding as well as on the fire to cook more food at once.

    This idea has so many uses. I could have smoke signal signs for my shop on the realm! But please increase the draw distance for more. It disappears too soon. You have a feature for increasing its height but what's the point if you can only see it up close. I want campfires and smoke signals to work like that scene in Lord of the Rings.

    Repeating smoke signal text. I love this idea!

    The thing I'm worried about is needing an anvil to rename the carpet and needing to swap new carpets out...

    Maybe using a breeze rod on a campfire would bring up a text editing GUI?
    I imagine that editing this text would work like a sign would, only with fewer characters.
