A suggestion

for bedrock if you want to download a resource or behaviour pack for minecraft you could do i it easily with the extension .mcpack and for worlds .mcworld so why not make mods also have an extension like that

The Bedrock Edition scripting API that's in public beta distributes code via behaviour packs (and resource packs for the UI). So the functionality already present in the existing .mcpack and .mcaddon functionality without having to create anything new :)
