Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Prismarine Ore

Personally, I feel that getting prismarine shards and crystals are too hard to get because they're only accessible through mob drops. I feel like prismarine ore would be perfect for this problem. After all, quartz has its own ore and I feel like prismarine and quartz are too identical for this chance to be let down. Maybe Mojang can make it so that it only spawns deep underwater for it to be harder to get. All in all, I feel like prismarine is such an interesting material and it seems like a wasted opportunity if there's no surefire way to get it.

    Maybe you could combine prismarine shards and iron stuff on a smithing table for new armor and weapons

    It should spawn under ocean biomes, giving you a reason to explore the flooded caves.
