Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Spell scrolls

You make Scrols with a Pen filled with Dye (as ink) on Leather (parchment)

a Pen is made of 1 Bone, 1 Button and 1 Feather (because it's a pen for magic). The Button represents the upper-end plug.

The pen has limited durability - harder scrolls (of less common dyes, therefore with rarer/stronger effects) wear it out sooner.

So, once you craft the pen, you use pen + dye + leather to craft a scroll.

Cactus (given for free in Start Chest) is used for Scroll of Homecoming. Windup: 1.5sec. Cooldown (in case a stack is amassed): 5min. Effectively teleports the player to their own spawn point.

    I love this idea! The main thing that I would do differently is make them much harder to obtain. I think having paper and a decent amount of lapis would make sense for the recipe for blank scrolls. If I were to add scrolls I would have normal scrolls and treasure scrolls, just like how treasure enchantments can't be made in the enchanting table. I would also have different generated scroll names for each ability and have the abilities randomized and unidentified. So if you found a scroll of homecoming, it would be labeled as gibirish and you wouldn't know what it does until you use it. Then, when you use a scroll, you identify any scrolls with the same ability. This would make finding new scrolls both exciting and dangerous.

    Ooo
