Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Items like Crossbows should be learned before crafting

Crossbows and the new furnaces should have recipe books that you should learn before you can craft them.

The crossbow recipes could be found in outposts and the furnace recipes could be something villagers traded. This will give people reasons to go out and explore the world and interact with the villagers.

The crossbows and new furnaces act a lot like upgrades but require simple resources that could take only a few minutes to acquire.

The only downside is probably not having to ability to craft the crossbows from the start and could take a while to find a village or outpost to get these recipes.

    I kind of like the idea that these have to be earned, but at the same time I'm not sure they're special enough to deserve it. If these had much better and different systems then it'd make sense to set them apart.
