Please!  I just bought a Nvidia Shield TV and though I'd be able to put minecraft on it for my kids to play, but apparently I was mistaken.  This should really be a short put...Bedrock already supports game controllers and android!

It doesn‘t even take much efford to change the Android Bedrock Edition to support Android tv, all it takes is to add a few lines in the manifest.xml, so I cannot understand why it isn‘t supported. :(

This would be great, Please Mojang. I believe it (relatively speaking) shouldn't be too hard to do, having controller support in the android version already, and we used to be able to sideload the apk to the tv back in the day! Would make it so much easier instead of having to find 10 workarounds with the Win10 edition and Steamlink. Make it happen Mojang, you've been doing much great things lately, don't stop it!

The Android version already works perfectly on Android TV. All that's needed is PlayStore availability and a manifest edit for an icon in the Android TV launcher. Please make it happen!!

This is roughly what I am saying. I have an AndriodTV box, and i want to play w/ my cousins on their pcs and consoles, but I'd better keep up on a tv than my phone lol. I can get an apk, but i hear that apks dont allow for multiplay with ANYONE else, so it's a real bummer..

The Nvidia Shield can run Bedrock brilliantly, and until yesterday it was my device of choice to play it on. Silky smooth gameplay, 60fps all the way. Then, I had to update to keep up with my Windows 10 install and server, tried sideloading the updated version from my Samsung Galaxy S10, and now it won't run at all on it.

To say I'm disappointed is no understatement ಥ_ಥ

I haven't played MC in a long time.. but if I could play it on my chromecast I would most certainly do so! Why don't they want the tv box market?

Why is Minecraft not supported on Android TV (Philips)?

It can be controlled using a Bluetooth gamepad, like on a smartphone.
