Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Additional "Storage Blocks"

There are pretty few Storage Blocks in Minecraft,  I believe there should a be a whole lot more!

There are many materials that deserve storage blocks similar to Hay Bales, Ore Blocks and more.
So here are some Examples of what NEW storage blocks would look like!

These Blocks come in Categories 

  • Tall Plants - Bundles
  • Fruits - Baskets
  • Veggies - Crates
  • Bits/ Powders - Sack
  • Manipulative Materials - Full Block
This way of treating storage blocks allows for a wide range of unique blocks for the player, which allows for cool builds like these:

    These blocks are so beautiful!! It really gives bamboo a better use too other than sticks and breeding. I really hope we get these in the future

    This might provide an interesting early-game shulker box that specializes in one item. To prevent this from being too over-powered, each crate could only store one stack of any farmable material. The player might also be able to stack the same crate type within their inventory. Not only would this be decorative, but it would also be extremely useful in transporting large amounts of farm products to a village or market.

    Great texture job!
    However, can we make the cocoa bean block look like a solid block of chocolate, and have it be edible?  Chocolate definitely deserves more food recipes.  The block could have layers like snow and be eaten by cake.  The only problem with this is that there are eight layers to snow and chocolate is crafted with nine cocoa beans.  Oh well.

    I absolutely love this idea. It’s super simple, and perfectly fits the game. Maybe not the crops, but the sticks, bamboo, and sugar cane is a REALLY good idea

    I really like this! Storage blocks REALLY need some variety, it gets dull having to spam chests and barrels everywhere.

    keep it at crates, bundles, and blocks like the hay block.  Sacks are redundant bundles and baskets are redundant crates.  Crates would have more building potential than baskets.

    This.  I need this.  This is not only great for builders but also useful for survival.  I can see this being in villages based off of the biome.

    • e.g. Taiga villages have the stick bundles and apple baskets.
    • e.g. Plains villages have the carrots and beetroot baskets.
    • e.g. Ice villages having fish barrels and potato baskets.

    Crates being able to store 256 items but only 1 kind would help with storage issues a lot.
