Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

NetherStar Lamp

An end-game item for extremely experienced and/or showy players. This item would emit a high level of light that could cleanly light very large rooms (cleanly meaning without the clutter of many torches, glowstone blocks, sea lanterns, etc.). It would also provide another use for nether stars.

The NetherStar Lamp would also provide a great tool for creative builders and map designers.
