If you're talking about the Bedrock edition, this would be an AMAZING feature to add. Mod caps are so frustrating.

My bedrock server feels dead when there's a couple people on it because of the mob cap. Also things like slime farms barely work. Would like to raise the cap higher than 200.

This feature, We server onwers should be able to decide what mob cap ours server can run. i'm  working in a workaround limiting per mob cap to reduce sheeps/chicken/cow/pig farms to reduce  effect  on the global cap.

Adding comment about the Bedrock version. The mob cap got easily hit by 1 person on my server. Minecraft players are extreme, why set it as low as 200. I understand it's to avoid performance issues and people spamming the issue tracker but I think that if we are allowed to chose or have like 500-1k mobs people will understand that it's their fault. It's still being tested after all it's not a release...

Not only the global mob caps, the local mob caps as well because by default they are very low, only 8 hostile mobs at a time.
