Tree Ant: A New Utility Mob

Minecraft tree ant dungeon

Tree ants are an extremely useful and rare entity only found in jungle in leaf nests on giant jungle trees and they can be used to farm and to protect villages.

The dungeon is not too big but it contains two soldiers and an ant queen you need to kill the two soldiers and feed the queen raw chicken then she will be tamed and will start producing eggs. What you need to do after that is wait for an egg [egg spawns every 8 minutes] and collect the egg [The queen ant will only make 15 eggs then it will die].  Once you do that you need to bring the egg to your house or building and place it. Wait for it to hatch then once that is done you need to feed it wheat for a worker or feed it meat for a soldier. Once it is done growing it should be a soldier or a worker depending on what you fed it.

Workers ant use

Workers, somewhat like turtles, have a home place but that home is determined by where you hatch the egg and it will place its harvests in a chest inside the home. For worker ants they will harvest everything but they will eat 10% of every crop they harvest, so if you had 100 wheat crop you will only get 90.

Soldier Ant use

Basically an iron golem that regenerates.  Instead of specifically protecting villagers they will protect the ants so you can use them for village and base defense.  They take longer to grow than worker ants.

Empowered Gem

A gem that you can only get from a priest villager for 30-64 emeralds you can then feed the gem to an ant protector and it will grow to 4x4x4 blocks in size and upgrade its health and damage Or you can feed it to a worker to double the gain from plants and cause them to eat only 6% of the crops they harvest. The empowered ants will turn Dark Purple and green.

Fire Gem

A gem that can be obtained by killing ghasts you can then give the fire gem to protector ants and it will make their attacks set mobs on fire but they do not attack nether mobs.

Iron Stew

You can find iron stew in sunken ships you can then feed iron stew to the any ant and it will triple the health of any ant.
